March 25th: All buses cancelled, most schools open

The Student Transportation Services of Thunder Bay have announced that all transportation will be cancelled today due to extremely poor road conditions. With the recent heavy snowfall and many areas still not plowed, the melt during the day and the freeze overnight have left large ruts and ice on the roads.
It is being recommended that buses not run all day in order to allow the city to clear the snow and improve these conditions.
With transportation cancelled, current protocol is the following rural schools will also close: Crestview, Gorham and Ware, Kakabeka, Valley and Whitefish.
