Registration Information
Credit Programming
Pre-registration for the 2024/2025 school year runs from Tuesday, August 20, 2024 to Thursday, August 29, 2024. To register, come in and meet with our guidance counsellor during the following times. No appointment is needed. Semester 1 programming begins September 4, 2024.
Registration times are as follows:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
9:30 am to 12:00 pm/12:45 pm to 4:00 pm
Wednesday Evenings
4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
To streamline your registration process, please bring a piece of ID and your most recent high school transcript with you when you come in.
All new and former students need to register for the new school year.
For students outside of the Thunder Bay area, you have two options to register. You can contact LAEC directly via email at laec@lakeheadschools.ca or call toll free 1-877-625-5145. Alternatively, LAEC is partnered with Contact North. Contact North has locations in communities across Ontario to assist with registration, technical support, and much more.
English as a Second Language Programming
English as a Second Language (ESL) Programming allows students to build second language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and to earn credits towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). ESL programming begins September 4, 2024. Students can attend in-person or virtual classes.
Registration starts Tuesday, August 20, 2024. To register, or for more information, come in and meet with our guidance counsellor during the following times.

Elementary International Language Programs
Program Information
The Elementary International Languages Program offers students the opportunity to learn to listen, speak and write in a new language or to maintain the language of their home or heritage. Classes are open to students in Kindergarten to Grade 8. No prior knowledge of the language is necessary to enroll in these classes.
